Heveco Limited founded in 1962, is situated within the Community of Tabusintac in the Province of
New Brunswick. Tabusintac is located between the City of Miramichi and the Town of
Shippagan in the Northeastern part of the Province.
The Company remains today an independently owned Family business, with Bernd-Georg Mecking
as its President. Heveco Limited harvests Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss in two forms, Block Cut
and Vacuum Harvest. Heveco has manufacturing facilities where high quality peat moss products
are produced.
Heveco was the first peat moss producer in Canada to manufacture commercially available mixes.
Heveco Limited is an environmentally concerned Company. Along with the Canadian Peat Moss
Association and Commercial Peat Moss research establishments Heveco is aiding in the research
for the reconditioning of peat harvesting areas.
The corporate goals for Heveco Limited are to become a recognized leader within the peat moss
industry serving the domestic and international peat moss markets. To establish long term
relationships through quality products worldwide is of prime importance.
As well as serving North America, Heveco Limited is exporting to Asia, South America and
countries within the Pacific Rim.
